Birds need food to live, just like you and me. Food gives them energy to fly, sing, and play. Different birds like different foods. Some birds eat seeds, which are like tiny snacks. Others eat worms or bugs, which might sound yucky to us, but birds think they're delicious!
Birds are very good at looking for food. They use their eyes to see where the food is. Some birds hop on the ground to find bugs. Others fly to trees to find seeds or fruits. When they find something they like, they use their beak to pick it up. It's like using a little grabber!
When a bird picks up food with its beak, it might be eating it right away. Or, it might be taking it back to its nest. A nest is like a bird's cozy home. Sometimes, birds have babies in their nests.
The mommy or daddy bird will bring food back to the nest and feed the baby birds. The baby birds can't fly yet, so the parents have to bring them food to help them grow strong and big. In today's drawing tutorial, we are going to draw a bird with food in its mouth, let's try it together.
