Originating in Europe and Asia, wild boars are extremely adaptable and are found in tropical rainforests, temperate woodlands, semi-deserts and grasslands. However, they tend to live in deciduous broadleaf forests.

Wild boars are not picky about their food, eating whatever they can, but mainly eat young leaves, nuts, berries, grass leaves and roots. In addition, insects, bird eggs, mice, and hares are all part of its diet.

As the only hoofed animal that digs holes, the wild boar is a burrowing animal, and most of them prefer to stay in their holes and rest during the day, with early morning or late afternoon being their main time of activity.

Because of its large size, the wild boar has only two natural enemies in nature, one is the large tiger and the other is the gray wolf that lives in packs, so it is difficult for other animals to threaten them.
