In the Amazon River basin of South America, there lives a superb herbivore, the capybara, which is docile, quiet and slow, but can quickly jump into the water to escape when in danger.
The dolphin is a semi-aquatic animal that is a good swimmer and diver, able to swim long distances underwater or remain hidden in aquatic plants for long periods of time.
They feed mainly on reeds, water hyacinth and other aquatic plants in the river, but sometimes climb up on land to steal fruits and vegetables, sugar cane and so on.
The capybara has a gentle temperament and rarely competes with its own kind or fights with other animals, relying on alertness and escape to survive. Jaguars and crocodiles are its main enemies.
