Corn is a kind of food that grows on a tall plant. The plant has big green leaves and at the top, there are these long, pointy things called "ears." Each ear of corn is like a long, fat finger. It's covered in a soft, green blanket called a "husk."
When you take off the husk, you'll see lots of little yellow or white bumps all lined up in neat rows. Those bumps are called "kernels." They're the yummy part we eat. Sometimes, you might find a little bit of silk, which is like soft, shiny hair, sticking out from the top of the ear.
Corn can be cooked in different ways. You can boil it in water, roast it on a fire, or even eat it raw if you like the crunchy taste. When it's cooked, the kernels get soft and sweet. You can eat corn by itself, or you can add butter and a little bit of salt to make it even yummier.
Corn is not just good to eat, it's also good for you. It has vitamins and fiber that help your body stay strong and healthy. Plus, it's really fun to eat because you can use your teeth to bite the kernels right off the cob. Yum! If you are also a big fan of corn, follow the tutorial below and try to draw one!
