They live in an environment with a dry climate and a big temperature difference between day and night. The agile and tenacious chinchilla usually relies on tropical plants such as tree bark, roots and cacti to survive.

The chinchilla has a gentle temperament. If you play with it and accidentally mess up its fur, it will go to one side to organize itself and will not be angry.

They also have the nature of rats and are used to sleeping during the day and coming out at night to look for food. Therefore, when keeping them, it is best to give them a wider and more comfortable cage so that they have enough space to play.
