Flies are found all over the world and emerge in the summer and fall, following odors and light into homes. They are active during the day and rest at night.

Flies have a fascination with decaying matter, feces and dead animals, and can hold more than 17 million pathogens on their bodies, meaning they are walking disease transmitters.

The fly has no teeth and its taste and touch receptors are on its feet. When it flies onto food it will first rub its feet to increase the sensitivity of the taste senses on its feet, both for a full meal and to lighten the load for the rest of the flight.

Also because flies don't have teeth and can't chew their food, they eat by first vomiting at the food, spitting out their own digestive juices and saliva so that the solid food can be digested outside first, making it easier to eat later.

Step 1 Draw two ovals. Draw a small oval inside each.

Step 2 Draw the head and mouth of this fly.

Step 3 Draw an oval for the body of this fly.

Step 4 Draw four thin legs at the bottom of the body.

Step 5 Draw slightly thicker legs on both sides of the body.

Step 6 Draw wings on the back of this fly.

Step 7 Simply color it and this cartoon fly is done.
