Hamburger is a food that originated in Hamburg, Germany. It was later introduced to the United States, where it became popular after being improved by Americans. The earliest hamburgers consisted of a beef patty sandwiched between two small round slices of bread.
In modern hamburgers, in addition to the beef patty or other meat patties, the second layer of the round bread is coated with butter, mustard, ketchup, salsa, etc., and then sandwiched between sliced tomatoes, onions, pickles and other foods.
The hamburger owes its popularity to a man named Raymond Kroc, who opened a fast-food restaurant called McDonald's in San Bernardino, California, in 1948 to sell hamburgers. In 1954, Henry Ford designed the world's first hamburger production line for him.
The hamburger, a food we are all too familiar with, has been around for almost a hundred years and is now found in countries all over the world.
