Hawks are carnivorous raptors of the forest. They have sharp vision and are good at flying. But except during migration, rarely in the air, more hidden in the forest between the branches of the tree ready to capture prey.

Once the hawk finds prey such as rodents and other small and medium-sized birds in the forest, it quickly swoops down, pursues in a straight line, and grabs the prey with its sharp claws.

Although its weight is about one-fifth lighter than that of medium-sized raptors, it is more than three times faster, so its predation is characterized by fierceness, accuracy, ruthlessness and speed.

Goshawks feed mainly on forest rodents, hares, pheasants and other small birds. It is active during the day, usually alone.
