Hedgehogs, probably one of the most easily seen wild beasts around us. Because hedgehogs prefer to survive in the plains and farmlands, and in the wilderness on the outskirts of the city, it is possible for hedgehogs to make their home in both city parks and neighborhood green spaces. They are small neighbors that accompany the development of human civilization.
Their prominent feature is that except for the head and abdomen, the rest of the body is covered with spines. Hedgehogs have roughly 16,000-17,000 spines, each only 1 millimeter thick.
These spines are actually hollow hairs, the same composition as human fingernails. Hedgehogs have short, dense spines that do not detach easily from the skin, which is the equivalent of putting them in spiked armor.
Hedgehogs are not good at running, in danger, hedgehogs will be curled up into a ball, nose and eyes are hidden, the spines stand up and face outward, so that the enemy has no place to bite, so as to protect themselves.
