Guys, is it flat land where you live? Or is it on a high mountain? Whether it's high mountains or flat land, this place seems to have been like this since you were born.
But then, in the long run of history, the earth we live on is constantly changing. The Himalayas, which tower over us today, were the bottom of the ocean many years ago. Perhaps the mountains that everyone sees today will be a flat piece of land many years from now.
The surface of the Earth is made up of many huge chunks of rock that can fit together like a giant puzzle toy. These huge blocks of rock that make up the Earth's crust are called plates.
When the earth was not long formed, there were many more earthquakes than there are now. A part of the surface rock was pushed up above the ground, higher and higher, and eventually many high mountains were formed.
Did you know that the Himalayas, the tallest and most majestic mountains in the world, were formed 70 million years ago when the sea floor was squeezed and rose?
In today's drawing tutorial, let's learn how to draw a mountain. It looks like a combination of several large rocks and anyone can easily accomplish it. Come and try it if you are interested.
