These bears are huge! Adult males can weigh between 775-1,300 lb, while adult females usually weigh 330-650 lb. They are the largest land carnivores and can be up to 8 feet long, not including their tail.

Polar bears are carnivores, which means they eat mostly meat. They primarily eat seals but will also eat other foods like fish, birds, and sometimes even plants if they can find them.

Did you know polar bears are excellent swimmers? They have large front paws that are slightly webbed, which helps them paddle through the water. Some polar bears have been seen swimming hundreds of miles from land.

Polar bears have thick fur and black skin to help them stay warm. Their large feet are like snowshoes, helping them walk on snow and ice. They also have a great sense of smell, which helps them find seals even when they're under the snow.
