In the North American prairie, there is a kind of small sensitive animals - prairie dogs. They are small, and hare similar, covered with yellow fluff, good at running and jumping, often in the grassland play, rolling, wrestling, chasing each other playful.
They live mainly in deserts, wastelands, and grasslands and have a habit of hibernating, and every summer they try to eat themselves into a meatball and build warm, cozy burrows to help them get through the winter.
Prairie dogs return to the ground in the spring after hibernation. According to legend, if prairie dogs can see their shadows, winter is six weeks away from ending.
A prairie dog family consists of about a dozen members. They seldom go out, and all their eating, drinking, and sleeping is done in their own territory.
