Everyone must have noticed the stethoscope hanging around the doctor's neck when visiting the doctor, do you know how the stethoscope was invented?
The moment that changed history occurred in 1816. A French doctor named Laënnec was walking through the streets of Paris when he noticed two children transmitting coded signals to each other through a long piece of wood.
Shortly thereafter, Laënnec was called to see a young female patient with a heart condition. He rolled a piece of paper tightly into a tube, with one end of the tube close to his ear and the other close to the female patient's chest. He was pleasantly surprised at how clear the heartbeat sounded!
Later, he did many more experiments and invented the monaural stethoscope in 1814 and diagnosed many different chest diseases. This is how the stethoscope was invented.
For today's drawing tutorial, we are going to learn how to draw a stethoscope. Its structure is not too complicated, but we still need to look closely at some of the details, so go for it, guys!
