YO-YO is not only a sport, it is also the most fancy, difficult and spectator-friendly hand technique sport in the world.
The name YO-YO first appeared in 1920. A Filipino named Pedro Flores introduced YO-YO to the United States when he worked in a hotel and picked it up to play in his spare time.
YO-YO is derived from the Tagalog, a Filipino vernacular. In 1500 A.D., hunting peoples in the Philippines hung heavy objects such as sun-dried fish and shellfish from the front end of a 20-foot rope as a tool for hunting animals and fighting.
