On Earth, a glacier is a large-scale natural phenomenon, which usually consists of huge blocks of ice. These blocks of ice are found in every part of the planet, not only in the polar regions, but also in high mountainous regions around the globe where natural bodies of ice exist.
Icebergs are large chunks of freshwater ice that break off from glaciers and fall into the sea, usually in the Southern Ocean, Arctic Ocean and northwestern Atlantic Ocean.
Icebergs form mostly in the spring and summer, when warmer weather accelerates the rate at which glacier margins break up. About 10,000 icebergs are produced each year from glaciers in western Greenland alone.
Most icebergs have a specific gravity of 0.9, so 6/7 of their mass is below the surface of the sea. The portion of the iceberg that is exposed to the water is only 1/10th of the entire iceberg.
In today's drawing tutorial, we are going to learn how to draw an iceberg. It is floating on the surface of the ocean at the moment, moving slowly with the currents of the sea.
The average age of iceberg ice is over 5000 years, so it is safe to say that it is clean ice that has not been polluted by industry. Icebergs are extremely valuable freshwater resources, but unfortunately humans have not yet been able to utilize them.
