Deadpool is a Marvel Comics anti-hero formerly known as Wade Winston Wilson, who was originally a battle-hardened Special Forces soldier.

Wilson later contracted cancer and joined the Weapon X program in order to cure the cancer and obtain Wolverine's genes to extend his life. He was transformed into Deadpool, but his face was disfigured.

Deadpool can skillfully use two swords and two guns, and has stronger self-healing ability than Wolverine. He also has a belt that allows him to move instantly, but it hasn't appeared in the movie yet.

Deadpool is a very, very talkative character, and while reading the Deadpool comic series, you might be under the illusion that you're not reading a comic, you're reading a text-only novel!
