Born in London, England, Charlie Chaplin is a world-renowned comedy filmmaker. He made more than 80 comedy movies in his life, and his representative works include "The Gold Rush", "Modern Times" and "The Great Dictator" and so on.
A moustache, a high bowler hat, a suit, a cane in one hand, one hand crossed, feet open 180 degrees ...... This is the most widely known image of Chaplin on the screen.
Unconsciously, Chaplin no longer seems to be just an actor or director, but also a symbol or an idea, or he has long become humor and comedy itself.
The combination of his exaggerated expressions and awkward gestures make for a laugh-out-loud funny. In an era when silent movies were still the norm, his every move seemed to literally break through the limits of language and sound.
