Kagome Higurashi from the "Inuyasha" series is a 15-year-old girl who lives in modern Japan. She has long, wavy black hair and big brown eyes, and she usually wears a green school uniform.

One day, while looking for her cat near an old well at her family's shrine, she's pulled into the well by a creepy centipede demon and finds herself 500 years in the past, in the Feudal Era!

In this olden time, Kagome meets a half-demon boy with dog ears named Inuyasha. He's a bit grumpy at first, but they become great friends. Kagome is actually the reincarnation of a priestess named Kikyo, and she has a very important magical jewel, called the Shikon Jewel, hidden inside her body. This jewel is so powerful that it can grant wishes, and lots of bad guys want to get their hands on it.

Kagome is really brave and kind. She has special powers because she's a priestess. She can purify things, which means she can clean away bad stuff, and she's really good at using a bow and arrow. Her arrows can have special powers too, helping her fight against the demons they meet.

Throughout her adventures, Kagome collects pieces of the shattered Shikon Jewel and tries to keep them away from the bad guys. She also has to balance her life in the past with her life in the future, which can be really tricky. She even has to go to school and take tests! Her grandpa helps her by making up excuses for why she's not in school so much.

Kagome also has a soft spot for her friends and family. She has a little brother named Sota, a mom, and a grandpa. She even has an imaginary friend named Jacob whom she cares about a lot!
