Plankton, also known as Sheldon J. Plankton, is a tiny green copepod and one of the main antagonists in the SpongeBob SquarePants series. He's the owner of the Chum Bucket, a restaurant across from the Krusty Krab.

Plankton is very small, shaped like a pickle, with short arms and legs, a big yellow eye with a red pupil, and two long antennae on his head. He is evil, intelligent, charismatic, ironic, and funny. He sometimes shows a heroic side, especially when he teams up with his former enemies and rivals

Plankton's main goal is to steal the secret formula for the Krabby Patty from Mr. Krabs' restaurant, the Krusty Krab. He's always trying to come up with new schemes to get his hands on the recipe.

Plankton often fails in his plans because of his own incompetence or because SpongeBob and his friends manage to stop him. His plans are usually very elaborate, but something always goes wrong.

Plankton is married to Karen, a computer who helps him come up with his evil plans. They make a funny team, even though Karen is the brains of the operation.
