On Christmas Eve, every child puts a stocking at the foot of his or her bed. Everyone knows it's for Santa Claus. But where did this white-bearded old man come from? Where is Santa's home?
There has been a lot of debate about where Santa Nicholas came from. Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, Finland and even the United States have all been involved in the debate.
The debate continued until Christmas Eve 1995, when then United Nations Secretary-General Boutros Boutros-Ghali sent a holiday card to Santa Claus to Rovaniemi, Finland, which put an end to the debate.
Santa Claus is an old man with a red hat, a big white beard, a red cotton suit, black boots, and a big sack with presents that always appears on Christmas Eve.
The following drawing tutorial will take you through how to draw a Santa Claus. He has a lovely image and is greeting us warmly!
You can also draw a sack next to him, or lots of presents, or maybe a sleigh ride and reindeer. It's all up to you, so try drawing it if you're interested.
