They take her in and she lives with them, keeping their house in order and cooking for them. The dwarfs warn her about the stepmother, but the stepmother eventually finds Snow White and, disguised as a peddler, offers her a poisoned apple.

After taking a bite of the apple, Snow White falls into a deep sleep. The dwarfs, believing her to be dead, place her in a glass coffin. A prince, who has fallen in love with Snow White, finds her and, moved by her beauty, gives the coffin a kiss. This act breaks the spell, and Snow White awakens.

The story concludes with Snow White marrying the prince, and the stepmother is punished for her evil deeds. Snow White's tale is one of the earliest examples of a fairy tale with a happy ending, and it continues to be a beloved story around the world, inspiring numerous adaptations in literature, film, and theater.
