Stitch is a character in the anime series Lilo & Stitch, the 626th genetically modified experiment created by Dr. Jumba Jookiba of the planet Turo.
The animated series follows a young girl, Lilo, who adopts a poor "puppy" and names him Stitch.
She doesn't realize that Stitch is actually a genetic experiment from outer space, and he uses Lilo to hide his identity from the hunters from outer space.
In the end, it is Lilo's unwavering belief in "family" that finally touches Stitch and makes him learn to care for others.
As a genetically experimental creature, Stitch's code name is "626". Therefore, June 26th of each year is also defined as "Stitch Day".
