The Earth is the third planet from the Sun.About 29% of its surface is land made up of continents and islands, and the remaining 71% is covered by water. Did you know that 620 million years ago, Earth's day lasted only 21.9 hours?
Of the eight planets in our solar system, the other planets are all named after gods in Greek or Roman legends, even the de-named Pluto which is named after the head of the underworld in Roman mythology. Only our Earth is an exception.
The word Earth originates from the Anglo-Saxon (Old English) word "Erda", which means "ground", "soil". Although the name means "ground", we now know that the Earth's surface is mostly covered with water.
Our planet can survive peacefully in the universe thanks to Jupiter. Jupiter's large size, high mass, and fast rotation make it more gravitationally attractive than the average planet, and meteorites that would otherwise fly toward Earth are attracted to Jupiter and crash into it.
For today's drawing tutorial, we are targeting the planet on which we depend! It's not an exact Earth, so you don't have to be too strict, just draw the land roughly.
We will start by drawing a circle and then draw the continents of the earth. Also, you can omit the planetary ring, since Earth doesn't have it. Let's follow the instructions and draw it.
