When you think of witches, the images that come to mind are often of old, ugly women with hawkish noses.They gather around a cauldron, stirring a greenish poison.

From the end of the fifteenth century to the seventeenth century in Europe, hundreds of thousands of people were executed over the centuries on suspicion of being "witches," both men and women, but mostly women.

Long ago, it was believed that on Halloween night witches would gather and ghosts would roam around. Although most people don't believe in ghosts and witches anymore, they still make these a part of Halloween.

And for today's drawing tutorial, instead of drawing the witch, we're going to learn how to draw her shoes.

Black and orange are the traditional colors of Halloween. Modern Halloween products also make heavy use of purple, green and red.

When drawing these witch shoes, we will draw both the witch's legs and socks and color them with the iconic Halloween colors.

How to Draw Witch Shoes Step by Step

Step 1 Draw the left leg.

Step 2 Draw a buckle at the bottom of this leg.

Step 3 Draw an outline of a shoe.

Step 4 Draw the other leg.

Step 5 Add a buckle to the bottom of this leg as well.

Step 6 Draw the outline of the shoe on the right.

Step 7 Draw some lines on the legs to get stripes.

Step 8 Finally color these witch shoes and socks.
